Happy Hygge

Hits the spot!   (Photo by 4028mdk09)
“Snug as a bug in a rug” is what we used to call it.  Nowadays, the Danish call it hygge (i.e., “HOO-gah”).

Coming to you from what has been deemed the world’s happiest country, Hygge is the enjoyment of ordinary
comforts:  warm blankets, knitted socks, sweat pants, oatmeal, hot chocolate, candles and books.  Company optional.  Most importantly:  a “blank to-do list.”

Self-care doesn’t need to be arduous.  It can be simple, and simply wonderful.
