It wouldn't hurt

We don’t all get along with each other, but it wouldn’t hurt if we did.  Even if we disagree.  Especially if we disagree.

Alan Alda recently emphasized this during his acceptance speech for the Screen Actors Guild’s Life Achievement Award.  He pointed out that actors are in the unique position of getting “inside a character’s head” and seeing “life from that person’s point of view.”  If more of us could do that, the world might not be so divided.

Alda mentioned the playful side of acting, while wishing that this could transfer into everyday life.  He then urged:  Let’s stay playful, let’s have fun and let’s keep searching.
