When in Atlanta, stop by

When we think of the National Park Service, we often think of natural wonders.  Human wonders, however, can be         just as inspiring.

NPS recently acquired the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr.  “Built in 1895 for a white family,” this Atlanta home on Auburn Avenue was purchased by King’s grandmother in 1909.

“King’s younger brother, A. D.” was the last family member to actually live there.  Now it belongs to all those who cherish civil rights.
