Actually,
Bennu and Osiris have been around for a
long time. Probably even before time
began. Both are Egyptian deities, and
both are associated with creation and
rebirth.
So it seems
only supernatural that they will meet again, this time courtesy of NASA. The spacecraft OSIRIS-Rex is heading
straight for Bennu’s hard-core body. Within an hour or so, the two shall be
reunited.
Hopefully,
Osiris will not be too flighty a
companion. The motives, however,
seem somewhat suspect. Professing
to just want a closer relationship,
Osiris might instead be plotting
to rob Bennu of some hidden
treasures.
