Putin's Epiphany: See and Be Seen

(Scene from Superputin)
When the pastime of riding bareback (Putin’s, not the horse’s) is common, what can be done for an encore?  Show up half-naked for the Orthodox Epiphany, of course.

Although Epiphany is all about seeing, it is generally about seeing heavenly realms.  And though the body (yours, mine, Putin’s) houses the spirit, said house is of this earth.

Nevertheless, Russian Orthodox believers immerse themselves in frigid waters each January in order to “commemorate the
baptism of Jesus Christ in the River Jordan.”

Many do this in relative anonymity.  Putin arrives “in a sheepskin coat and felt boots,” then strips down to bathing trunks as cameras roll.
