Ice is Nice on Mars

Although winter can be hazardous here on Earth, ice can be nice on Mars.

Water is a precursor of life as we know it.  In order for a human colony to survive for long on Mars, it will need a reliable source of this aquatic elixir.

Researchers are confirming that “expansive” sheets of “relatively pure ice” lie “within just a few feet of Mars’ surface.”

A “surface-drilling lander” will soon be sent, and sample cores will be taken.  This will help to determine the “scientific potential” of such findings.
