A hypersonic jet has been designed that can one day shuttle New Yorkers to London in about two hours.  Its blueprint
deviates from the “tube-and-wing” structure of current planes, somewhat resembling that of a flying saucer.
The Paradoxal will initially climb to Mach 3 (at 60,000 feet).  At that point, “liquid oxygen” would help “push it at supersonic speeds up to an altitude of 40 miles.”
Passengers could then experience a taste of space travel, including weightlessness and glimpses of stars.
