Velvety skin’s possible new best friend is named Propionibacterium acnes because “it
was first discovered on a patient with acne.”
And what’s so friendly about that?
Counterintuitively speaking, this little bugger helps guard against oxidative stress, which “is believed to contribute to… eczema, psoriasis and skin cancer.”
P. acnes does this
by secreting RoxP, a protein with antioxidant effects. In fact, RoxP is right up there with vitamins C and E when it comes to skin protection.
Never underestimate your enemy's strength.  Better yet, find a way to ally that strength with your own.
