Thanksgiving minus Gravity equals Football plus Wow

You'd think that whizzing through space might give modern-day pilgrims incentive for Thanksgiving Day worship.  NASA astronauts Kjell Lindgren and Scott Kelly will be spending their holiday aboard the International Space Station (ISS) “watching football and enjoying a turkey-centric feast.”

Nevertheless, the two men did wax philosophical about this ethereal Thanksgiving.  Lindgren said that he’s grateful for all who have made the mission possible.  Kelly credited “views from orbit” with giving him “a different perspective on what it means to be citizens of planet Earth.”

Anne Lamott once distilled prayer into three words:  Help, Thanks, Wow.  While thriving on Help, it seems that Lindgren and Kelly are now well immersed in Thanks and Wow.
