Such a scenario was recently verified by a National Geographic Channel video. This video showed a penguin husband discovering “his wife with another penguin.” Sir Penguin
then went on the attack until “the homewrecker” was beaten down.
Still the males went at it.
They used their wings “like baseball bats to club one another.” As a
stalemate evolved, the wife was summoned back to choose between the two.
Lo and behold, she picked the boyfriend.
So much for penguin fidelity. Or
perhaps there were extenuating factors…
