Fashion Police strike again

Denim hat, to boot!     (Photo by Nando65)
Whereas there probably are some outfits that grow as old as we do, jeans tend to be eternal.

Nevertheless, “fashion police” remain on an ever-vigilant beat. Their more recent “wisdom” includes a study done by (of all things) a delivery company.  After noting “the stress we experience while jeans shopping,” Collect Plus concluded that jeans are to be shunned past age 53.

Even though 55-year-old George Clooney is third on the list of the top-ten male celebrity jeans wearers, the average senior should shred them into patchwork quilts.  This ageist notion drew comments such as these from the Internet community:

At 56 I've just managed to get back into my size 10 jeans again.  I’m not giving them up for anybody.

Let’s face it, [some of] the older generation look better in jeans than some of the younger generation.

I wear jeans all the time and am 73.  I don't need to be told what I can and can’t wear by anyone…
