What's the matter, really?

Our understanding of Creation is constantly evolving.

When a little boy asked St. Augustine to describe God, he reportedly was told to bring back the ocean in a pail.  The boy protested, saying that the ocean could not be contained within a tiny bucket.  The saint replied, “Well then, God cannot be
contained within our tiny understanding.”

For years we've been taught that there are three states of matter: solid, liquid and gas. Turns out that matter can be both solid and liquid - at the same time, in the same place.

This newly-discovered state is known as “chain-melted.” Potassium and sodium have exhibited this structure under certain conditions.  Dr. Andreas Hermann of the University of Edinburgh declared:  Recreating this unusual state in other materials could have all kinds of applications.
