Vegans take to the streets

Human rights are tough enough to fight for, animal rights often tougher

Vegan advocates took to the streets of Melbourne, Australia in order to protest slaughterhouse and factory

farm practices.  Additional protests were held in New South Wales and Queensland.  There were nine such

demonstrations altogether.

Kristen Leigh, Director of Vegan Rising, explained that “innocent vulnerable beings” were being exploited in horrendous ways.  She emphasized:  It’s not about bigger cages, it’s about animal liberation.
