Yet another Yeti

Himalayan Brown Bear  (Photo by Zoo Hluboka)
Over the years, decades and centuries, there have been many claims of Yeti sightings.

The enthusiasm for such apparently continues.  The Indian Army recently came out with so-called proof that the Yeti actually exists.  One of its Himalayan teams sighted footprints “measuring 32X15 inches” and assumed them to be “Yeti tracks.”

In the past, traces of “mysterious monsters” turned out to be remnants of bears and canines.  DNA sampling of bones, teeth and hair provided proof of that.

Primate-type footprints in the snow might be tough to identify.  They might prove as elusive as Frosty the Snowman come spring.

Making the Impossible possible

(Photo by Joe and Jeanette Archie)
By year’s end, Burger King customers throughout the land will have a vegan alternative: the Impossible Whopper.

This whopper of a choice contains “plant-based meat substitutes” rather than cow parts. Burger King’s CEO, Jose Cil, reports that “new guests” are being drawn to this tasty item.

Other fast-food chains are picking up on the idea.  Chipotle and Taco Bell have both been developing vegetarian delectables.

Love Thy Captor

Eye on the Sky  (Photo by Jessie Eastland)
When Jesus said “Love thy enemy,” He most likely meant it literally.  This would then include kidnappers.

Many who call themselves Christians are now ridiculing an American woman who refuses to see her captors as totally evil.  After being set free, Kimberley Endicott praised them for somewhat protecting her during the ordeal.  Her abductors not only supplied her with bottled water, but also
“built her a tent.”

Endicott feels that compassion bloomed after she began “humanizing” herself to them.  She did this by favorably comparing the African night sky to the California one.  While on a forced walk over the Ugandan border into the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Endicott looked up at the heavens and said, “Look at the sky.  We don’t have this at home.”
