When Hitler began “weeding out” people, he began “with the elderly and disabled.”  What’s now being proposed in Louisiana seems to mimic that process.

Thousands who rely upon Medicaid for survival received letters from the Louisiana Department of Health, warning them that funding for vital services might soon end.  This would result in a huge loss of both home-health and nursing-home care.

The state's two medical schools may have to close, and staff might be cut from several major hospitals.  Such reductions are being proposed by Louisiana’s “Republican-controlled… House of Representatives.” 

Louisiana resident Karen Scallan concludes:  I have never seen it this bad.  I am appalled and horrified they let it get this far.
