Weightless Wine

Wine has long played a weighty role here on Earth.  So it seems only natural to extend its domain into weightless space.

Twelve bottles of Bordeaux wine plus a multitude of grapevine snippets were shipped to the International Space Station toward the end of 2019.  The goal is to see how a year in space might affect their characteristics.  Researchers will particularly focus upon bubbles, sedimentation and chemical composition.

Such knowledge could enhance the resilience of plants in this world.  Fine wine could enhance the resilience of humans in any world.
