Noah's Ark 'lands' in Kentucky

(1846 Painting by Edward Hicks)
Those looking for proof that “Noah’s Ark” exists need look no farther than Kentucky.

The "510-foot-long, $100 million" replica is finally done.  Built by Answers in Genesis, a ministry that believes “God created everything about 6,000 years ago,” this ark will allegedly prove that Bible stories are historically correct.

Within the ark are exhibits of “Noah’s family along with rows of cages containing animal replicas, including dinosaurs.”  Answers in Genesis contends that humans and dinosaurs existed concurrently.  Scientists contend that humans came along 65 million years after dinosaurs went extinct.

Although two million visitors are expected to attend this year, not everyone is thrilled with the prospect.  Nearby “ark opponent” Jim Helton summed it up this way:  Basically, this boat is a church raising scientifically illiterate children and lying to them about science.
