Are you chicken?

Each of us may remember being called “chicken” when afraid to do something.  Although name calling can be akin to
bullying, there may be some truth to this particular moniker.

It turns out that “the genetic similarity between a human and a chicken is… 60%.”  Some strong similarities exist between human cells and chicken ones.  This is particularly true regarding basic cell structures and mechanisms, but not as applicable to reproductive and immune systems.

Not feeling flattered by this comparison? Then pull that feather out of your cap and grab a banana.  Humans and chimpanzees
share a whopping 96% of similar genes.
