It
turns out that “Polly” was once half the
size of a human. Approximately “19
million years ago,” she roamed (and
possibly ruled) the wilds of New
Zealand. Her remains indicate that
she was not only “flightless” but also
“carnivorous.”
With
a beak that big, she could have done
a great deal of damage. Just one more
reason to weigh those words carefully…
