This
“Mountain of Mercy” is located in
Saudi Arabia near the sacred city of
Mecca. Worshipping there is a vital
part of the Hajj, a pilgrimage made by
Muslims the world over.
The
overall Hajj lasts for five days and
includes “ancient rituals” at “Islam’s
holiest sites.” It provides an opportunity for Muslims to “pray for
unity and peace,” and to atone for
sins.
