Nose Prints and Other Fun Facts

River Otters  (Photo by Dmitry Azovtsev)
It’s a fact that no two dogs’ noses are exactly alike.  So if you want to know who stole that steak from the table, just check the telltale prints.

Ever wonder why sleeping otters don’t lose track of one another?  The answer is simple:  They hang on to each other for dear life.

And speaking of hanging tight, cows are known to have BFFs with whom they spend most of their time.  Penguins do one better:  They mate for life, and one partner proposes by gifting the other with a pebble (not quite a diamond, but sweet nevertheless).

Charlie Chaplin once thought he’d steal the show by participating in a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest.  Trouble is, “he didn’t win.”

There now, are we having fun yet?  Did you know that smiles are innate?  Congenitally blind people smile, even though they’ve never actually seen others do so.
