Unto death didn't he part

September 2001   (Public Domain)
Former President George H. W. Bush sat by his wife’s side during life, as well as after death.

After holding Barbara’s dying hand until she passed, Bush later remained by her casket while visitors paid respects.  As “a string of mourners began to approach,” Bush graciously greeted them.

Elderly and ill, Bush hadn’t planned on being there.  And yet, he couldn’t resist “after watching video from the church” where the viewing was held.

So there he was, right where he needed to be.  Close with Barbara, as he’s been for the past seven-plus decades.
