was just 30, but had inspired
many a woman within her short
life. As a “body positivity”model,
Mayday had stressed that
beauty comes from within.
Never
was this more evident than when
Mayday was undergoing chemotherapy. After her hair began
falling out in clumps, Mayday
assured fans: Our beauty comes out if we accept the changes we must face and allow ourselves to just embrace our differences.
She
posted unflinching views of
her cancer treatment, stating that
all was not “thumbs up,” but
rather a day-by-day challenge. This
realism, coupled with sunny optimism,
is what made Mayday so
endearing.
