War of Words: Sticks, Stones and Missiles

David and Goliath   (by Osmar Schindler)
Whoever came up with that "Sticks and Stones" nursery rhyme was obviously a dotard in the making.  As are we all, if we live long enough.

For “dotard” is simply a prejudicial term for “elder.” It implies that old folks are not only incompetent, but also deranged.  Does that mean that young folks are therefore sane?

In the virulent case of Kim Jong On, not necessarily.  Just because he’s clever, brazen, manipulative and logical doesn’t mean he’s sane.  Killing everyone in your career path may serve ambition, but it sure doesn’t serve humanity.

Neither do warheads and missiles.  And for the record, sticks and stones CAN hurt bones – just ask Goliath.
