This 501(c)3 non-profit is determined to provide a sanctuary within Littleton where “people of all backgrounds can gather, eat well, and be inspired to give back.”
Delicious healthy meals are served most mornings and afternoons.
Prices range from zero to reasonable to above-and-beyond donations. No
one is turned away for lack of funds. “Free nutritional education and cooking classes” are also in the works.
Volunteers make up a significant part of the labor force. The
“limited full-time staff” is supplemented by 120 others each month.
Volunteers don’t need “special cooking skills, just a willingness to learn, serve and meet new folks. They
assist with the preparation and serving of food, as well as with cleanups and sanitation. The café is in compliance with health department regulations.
More than that, it is in compliance with God’s commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself.
