Milk, cream and plastic

We are often urged to hydrate, hydrate, and then hydrate some more.  After all, what could be wrong with tap water?

According to a recent study from the University of Minnesota, plenty.  We’re so hung up about the side effects of too many dairy additives, that we don’t even notice what’s already swimming in our coffee cups.

Much of the water with which coffee is made has been found to contain “microscopic-sized plastic fibers.”  These fibers seem to infiltrate water supplies via “clothes, upholstery and carpets.”  Microplastics have been known to contain “toxic chemicals linked to cancer and other illnesses.”

When such plastic particles reach the human gut, conditions are ideal for the rapid release of deadly toxins.

Thinking of skipping the coffee and buying some bottled water instead?  Think again.  That water has also been found to be tainted with microplastics.
