That's the gist of what J. K. Rowling told Harvard graduates in 2008. Her commencement talk was all about the benefits of failure. Great
losses can encourage a “stripping away of the inessential” and a focus upon what really matters.
Such thoughts are now ringing true for Ronda Rousey, who recently tweeted some of JK Rowling’s words. Rousey also
explained: …Even when you prepare and give everything you
have and want something so
badly – it doesn’t work how you
planned…
Unanswered prayers can be the very best gift of all. When Rowling regrouped, Harry Potter was born. Rousey is
now taking “some time to think and reflect about the future.” Such
reflection may spawn great creativity.
