The soup of human kindness

It’s tough enough to find purely vegan soup, let alone delicious varieties of it.

Nevertheless, Juan Carlos Beristain has plenty to share.  He not only serves it up at his Illinois café, but also delivers it free of charge to an ailing customer.

Noah Dionesotes is suffering from multiple sclerosis and needs good “nutrition to aid with his healthcare.”  Beristain’s soups fill that bill, featuring “seasonal ingredients” and “natural broths.”

Beristain is more than happy to do this for Dionesotes.  The two have developed a lasting friendship, complete with “priceless conversations.”  Beristain attributes his kindness to an example set by parents who are “givers and very loving.”
