Amen Forever

'Amen' in Syriac  (by hmxhmx)
Eric Wagner was thinking of changing his boat’s name from “Amen” to something perhaps more worldly.  That was before the miraculous rescue occurred.

While on their nautical way from Florida to New Jersey, Wagner and crew heard “a desperate scream.”  Hearing it over the roar of wind, waves and engines was in itself miraculous.  What happened next, even more so.

From “almost 200 yards away,” Wagner spotted a flailing arm above the water.  It belonged to one of two teenagers who had been washed out to sea by a strong current.  Things were looking desperate when they began to pray.  That’s when “Amen” suddenly appeared.

When 17-year-old Heather Brown was pulled from impending doom, the first words she uttered were, “God is real!”  Wagner had to agree.  He stated, “I truly believe it was divine intervention…  I’ll keep that name ‘Amen’ forever.”
