Sticker Shock

Panama Coffee Workers  (Photo by DirkvdM)
When Lauren Svensson tasted a “rare variety” of Panama coffee, she deemed it to be “shockingly good.”

What was even more shocking was the price: $75 per cup.  Think of what else $75 could buy in many places, including Panama.  Then tilt your head back and savor the sip.

After all, it’s quite delicious, boasting a rare “floral, tea-like flavor with hints of jasmine and berries.”  Svensson’s friend, Charlie Sinhaseni, thought it might be “hyper pretentious” at first, but was soon “too busy enjoying it…”
