Mad at God: To what avail?

(Photo by World Affairs Council of Philadephia)
Bill O’Reilly is not the first to be “mad at God,” and he certainly won’t be the last.

Why even great prophets have shaken their fists at Heaven - the difference being that prophetic anger is scriptural, whereas O’Reilly’s is fodder for The New York Times.

The latest in the O'Reilly saga is that Bill thinks God should offer him “more protection” from sexual misconduct allegations.  O’Reilly simply says:  I wish this stuff didn’t happen…  Yeah, I’m mad at him (“him” being God, not the man in the mirror).

Imagine paying $32 million to settle one of these finger-pointing claims, but still having to read about it over morning (mourning?) coffee.  Life can be so frustrating at times.  In God’s terms, downright wrathful.
