Planting a Tree of Life

From ancient Mesopotamia to modern-day America, the Tree of Life has symbolized wisdom and divinity.

When Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life Synagogue was brutally attacked in 2018, 11 lost their lives and seven more were injured.  This had been the “deadliest anti-Semitic attack” in the United States to date.

Famed architect Daniel Libeskind has now been tasked with “reimagining” the site to include spaces for sacred remembrance.  If past is indeed prologue, then such remembrance would be essential.
