Thinking things over for a very long time

Although it sometimes seems as if thinking were born yesterday, it has actually existed for eons.

Case in point:  A 3800-year-old “thinker”

figurine was recently unearthed in Israel.  It showed up in an ancient grave, east of modern-day Tel Aviv.  Buried alongside this cogitating statuette were “daggers, arrowheads, and an axe head” (just in case too much thinking spelled trouble).
