Curry to Durant: Brother to Brother

Durant in 2008  (Public Domain)
As if there weren’t enough drama within this year’s NBA, now there’s some more.  Kevin Durant has just crossed over to “enemy” lines, so to speak.

However, “love thy enemy” seems to be the theme of the day.  Word is that MVP Steph Curry texted fellow MVP Kevin Durant the following message:  It’s not about who “is the face of the franchise, who gets the most recognition or who sells the most shoes (!),” but instead about winning championships through “brotherhood, support and equality.”

Abe Lincoln couldn’t have said it any better, and Durant heard it loud and clear.  Having nicknamed himself “the servant,” KD strongly resonates with this one-for-all and all-for-one approach.

Jerry West put the icing on this "engagement cake” with a compelling message:  No stars.  Just players, each doing their part…
