After hours! (Photo by Janette) |
Not so much
in France.
The French “pride
themselves on maintaining more of a
distinction between work life and personal
life.” They recently passed a law which allows
workers the right to ignore
business
e-mails that arrive after hours. This is
formally known as the “right to disconnect.”
This law
unfortunately only applies to companies with
more than 50 employees. Sole proprietors
might therefore display signs such
as this: Why work for someone else 8 hours per day when you can work for yourself 24/7?
