In the Pink (Photo by David R. Tribble) |
When Rachel Carpenter’s 10-year-old daughter Nevaeh first asked to spice up her tresses, the answer was no. Just days after
that, Nevaeh was fighting for her life with accidental “burns that covered 70% of her small body.”
The family bonded like never before and got through it.
This experience revolutionized Rachel’s parenting style. Mom’s current philosophy is this: “If a child’s
request does no harm, why say no?”
Pink hair, scars and all, Nevaeh’s now doing well. Beautifully
well.
