High road: Steeper climb, broader view

When taking the high road, there may be a steep climb ahead, but the broad view is worth it.

Having busted his back for all he’s earned, LeBron James knows that rocky road well.  His surefooted steps have landed him at the top.  He can now view fellow travelers with empathy and tolerance.

James “sent a series of tweets,” defending NBA stars who were recently traded.  While those in the swamp threaten to burn jerseys, James supports the rights of peak players to excel where placed.

James particularly stood up for Isaiah Thomas, knowing full well that Thomas had previously taunted him and the Cavs.  That was then and this is now.  On the high road, looking back and/or down can be fatal.  Better to fix your eyes on the prize and keep moving forward.
