Staying Put

As human snowbirds are flocking to Florida, avian snowbirds are staying put.

Robins are traditionally harbingers of spring, but more and more of them are wintering up north.  As the climate warms, they may be asking themselves, “Why bother flying all that distance when conditions suffice right here?”

Fat and feathers can keep them viable, along with fruits that remain intact.  So when the red, red robin comes bob, bob bobbin', wake up and toss him some treats.
