Say what you want about an outdated monarchy, there’s something to be said for dedicated perseverance.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth will be celebrating her 70^th year on the throne come February 2022.  She has all along stayed true to her initial vow of devotion to lifelong service.  Plans are now in the works for honoring this incredible accomplishment.

Next June, there will be pageantries galore. Festivities will extend far “into the heart of every community” via the Big Jubilee Lunch.  These will include street parties and garden barbecues.

Joyful rituals certainly have their place in society.  It’s a relief to have well-deserved merriment on the horizon.
