Hiding Earth: Let there be lasers

Secrets often lurk in shadows.  However, it is light that may ultimately conceal Earth from its potential enemies.

“Beaming controlled laser emissions into space” could shield our habitable planet from prying alien eyes (assuming aliens have eyes).  This laser light could 

brighten the telltale dim spots that occur when Earth “passes in front of the sun.” This luminous ploy might therefore enable our precious world to remain undetected

for eons to come.

If enemy aliens are scanning the skies for signs of vulnerable life, then these lasers might save  Earthlings from possible annihilation.  Famed physicist Stephen Hawking has repeatedly warned:  If aliens visit us, the outcome could be much like when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans.
