And the Best of Friends

Paul the Apostle  (by Rembrandt)
There’s another side to “stranger danger,” and that has traditionally been called hospitality.

Hospitality can be as ancient as that shown by Gaius of Corinth when he hosts not only Paul, but also the whole church (Romans 16:23).  It can also be as modern as that shown by a stranger at the Las Vegas airport.

A man, identified only as Joseph, “reached out” to a toddler who had approached him there.  With the blessings of her dad, Joseph then proceeded to wholesomely entertain her for the next 45 minutes.  She, in turn, shared a snack with him.

Dad Kevin Armentrout was so inspired by     this that he described their exchange on Facebook.  He wrote:  Watching them in that moment, I couldn’t help but think, different genders, different races, different generations and the best of friends. This is the world I want for her.
