Code Pink activists (Photo by Ben Schumin) |
During a hearing, Jeff Sessions was described as having a documented history of “treating all Americans equally under the law,” When Code Pink activist Desiree Fairooz heard
this, she expressed some mirth.
A government motion against her states that Fairooz let out not one, but “two bouts of laughter.”
Each bout carries a possible “six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.”
Although Sessions had been “denied a federal judgeship” in 1986 due to his racist remarks, it is Fairooz who is being accused of disrupting justice.
