After being maligned by those far less physically fit (for allegedly having a Pillsbury Doughboy belly), Gaga had this to say: I heard my body is a
topic of conversation so I
wanted to say, I’m proud of my body
and you should be proud of
yours too. No matter who you are
or what you do.
That last line was the clincher. Gaga is not just heralding her own hard-earned physique, but is celebrating everyone else’s: be they tall, short, narrow, wide, fleshy, bony…
The human body - any human body - is nothing short of a miracle. If you’re breathing, you’re amazing. And Lady Gaga is here to sing your praises.
