In 2018, the United States Supreme Court ruled against protecting a key habitat of the endangered dusty gopher frog. Industries such as ranching and mining had also managed to weaken the Endangered Species Act through their vigorous lobbying of the Trump administration.
Why worry so much about an obscure amphibian? The answer goes way beyond Froggy’s protection. The answer reflects a desire to protect God’s Creation so that generations to come can appreciate America the Beautiful in all her purple majesty.
