Jerry Lewis: Thrilled to be 90

In his heyday, Jerry Lewis was “the clown prince of Hollywood.”  That was half a century ago.

Now at 90, Lewis still finds existence to be “interesting, very interesting.”  Although he “can’t hear, or see, or walk” the way he used to, he wouldn’t trade life above ground for the alternative.

Calling his wife SanDee Pitnick “the greatest audience I have ever had,” Lewis waxes eloquent about their relationship:  …love is something that you want to be a part of, because it makes you better.

And despite “two heart attacks, pulmonary fibrosis, prostate cancer and type 1 diabetes,” things have been getting a whole lot better.  After some years of intense struggle, Lewis now has a popular one-man show and is starring in a new film named Max Rose.

Not only that, he is costarring with Nicolas Cage in another movie and is writing a comedy script.  Lewis even finds time and energy to teach “an acting and comedy class.”

The secret to his upbeat attitude?  Lewis avoids all things negative, “except for film negative.”
